Justice Ketanji

Recommended Ages: 4-8

Written by Denise Lewis Patrick and Kim Holt.

Ketanji Brown Jackson always believed from the start that “You can do anything. You can be anything.” Motivated by these empowering words and her parents' constant love, Ketanji never let skeptics hold her back—whether it was joining her high school debate team, applying to her ideal college, or thriving at Harvard. Her persistence and intelligence led her to become the first Black female U.S. District Judge and eventually the first Black female Supreme Court Justice. Ketanji's extraordinary journey demonstrates that she is a Justice for everyone.
